Acquisitions and Disposals

We act on behalf of a developers and investors in relation to the development of residential, retail, commercial, industrial or mixed-use properties.

We assist clients with:

  • residential community, apartment and townhouse title scheme developments, including high-rise strata buildings and sale of proposed lots off the plan;

  • commercial office and industrial park developments (both strata title and non-CTS), including both the sale and pre-leasing of proposed lots;

  • residential flat land subdivision, including base parcel reconfiguration and staging of greenfield sites; and

  • development agreements, development management agreements, joint venture agreements and fund through sale structures.

Development

We act on behalf of developers and landlords of retail, commercial and industrial properties and tenants (including national companies) in respect of all of their leasing needs.

We assist clients with:

  • drafting, negotiating and registering retail, commercial and industrial agreements for lease, leases, subleases and licences;

  • providing advice and ensuring compliance with all statutory disclosure requirements under the Retail Shop Leases Act; and

  • assignment or subletting of leases or licenses or variations to lease terms.

Leasing

We act on behalf of landowners, developers and contractors of renewable energy projects in respect of the required underlying land agreements and works contracts.

We assist clients with:

  • drafting and negotiating exclusivity agreements and works contracts;

  • undertaking legal due diligence to determine suitability of tenure arrangements for renewable energy projects; and

  • drafting and negotiating options to purchase or lease, including the required underlying contracts or leases to development a renewable energy project such as a wind or solar farm.
